About Us
The Little Cornish Pantry was established in April 2014 by Business Partners Alexandra Eley and Judith Eley. Both Business Partners were born in Cornwall and are passionate about all things Cornish! We have lived in Newquay nearly all of our lives and have always enjoyed eating good quality Cornish Food. We have wanted to explore a business within the food industry for some time and in April 2014 we purchased a Mobile Catering Unit and started a Cornish event catering business (The Little Cornish Pantry) on a part time basis. This provided both Business Partners with an insight into the world of catering and we have developed a real taste for it! Not only have we facilitated event catering, we also identified an opportunity to set up Cornish pop-up Farm Shops at events throughout the County, showcasing the very best of Cornish Food and Lifestyle products.
Cornwall is renowned for its wonderful selection of locally produced quality foods and our business is all about showcasing the very best of artisan Cornish Produce, including "Taste of the West" award winning products, within both the Hospitality and Retail sectors.
We as a business are passionate about promoting and supporting local producers and we feel that the products we sell truly represent the very best of what Cornwall has to offer. At the same time, we feel that it is important to support the Carbon Footprint by sourcing our products locally and ultimately contribute to the sustainability and overall business growth of Cornwall. We are also very passionate about supporting the Plastic Free initiative and Final Straw Cornwall Campaign (particularly within our Hospitality sections of the business), to try and do our bit to protect our beautiful Cornish coastlines!
Our aim is to continually review and source the highest quality food and drink made in Cornwall to meet the requirements of our customers. As Partners of the company, we personally sample and approve all of our products before selling our range and our suppliers include some of the major award winning companies across the County. We continually research new producers and will always take the opportunity to introduce new products to our customers if we feel passionate about their quality and taste!
